Refuge

Lord, I seek refuge in your comfort,
I seek refuge in your care.
I seek refuge in your healing,
for I am broken, Lord,
in need of your assistance.

I am wounded.
I am fearful.
I am ashamed,
disobedient,
insubordinate,
broken hearted,
unworthy,
insecure,
harmful,
depressed.
Everything you are not!

You look inside my heart 
and see past all of those things.
You see what you created before 
darkness encroached.

I find refuge in your love for me.
I find refuge in my inherited identity.
I find refuge in your Holy Spirit
who was left as a gift for me,
 who is here in assistance of me.
