Deception

The enemy is busy,
blinding and shackling our youth.
Distorting their mentality
through the addiction
of a false virtual reality.

Instant gratification is the drug of choice
Diluting the minds,
ballooning the ego.
Not as many likes for the ones with true voice.

Speaking up for justice,
bringing awareness to the pasts
perpetual pains;
like open wounds with salt and lemon ingrained.
It burns, but healing never came.

Shepherds find the lost ones,
lead them back like the prodigal sons.
We can start again, regain sight,
the youth depend on our light.
